Is Social Media the New SEO
SEO stands
for search engine optimization. It is the process of getting more people at
targeted web site, web page or in web search engine. Again social media like Face-book,
Twitter, You tube does have a large effect on SEO. SEO is all about acquiring
customers and increase website customer through valuable traffic. Social
sharing is one of the best ways to do so. It helps to build new links. One of
the many factors that contribute to a high ranking in Google’s SERP is how many
link-backs your website receives. Unfortunately this factor is easily
manipulated through black-hat-SEO techniques, such as keywords stuffing,
invisible text and creating fake website that link back to the website you are
trying to optimize. As a result, Google has instead chosen to look into social
signals like tweets, face-book posts and so on, as a non-manipulated way of
getting links. Gone are the days where you had to work hard creating “link
juice”. Now social media and SEO can work together to give your website the
link backs it needs. In simple terms, Google will rank your rank your blog
posts and website higher if it sees that you are a credible source. In addition
to determining credibility based on how many people link back to you, Google
also consider your social media influence. How this is determined is based on
many different factors that include relevance, reach and resonance. To see how
you rank on those factors, ask yourself these questions, is your content
relevant to your brand? How many people are you able to reach with your
contents you are sharing on your social profiles? Are the people engaging with
your content valuable to you? Whether if they are influential bloggers and
brands. So you can not differ social media from SEO, they are under same
umbrella and social media really is the new SEO.
